One hundred and nine miles south of Islamabad, at Khusbab, a third new heavy water reactor is being built to produce even more weapon-grade plutonium, indicating Pakistan's intention to expand it's nuclear weapons program. This is an ominous development, especially in light of the recent brutal assassination of Benezir Bhutto.
Bush and the neo-con jackals who surround him, like to trumpet to the American public that Pakistan is an ally in the so-called " war on terror ". What has America received in exchange for the friendship and $ 10 billion in aid Bush has given Pervez Musharraf over the last seven years ?
Precious little, as it turns out. North Waziristan has not been forced to give up it's al Ciada secrets. Pakistan's cities are on fire with rage over Musharraf's collusion with the assassins of Bhutto. Pakistan's intelligence service, the ISI, has been infiltrated by Islamic militants, and has been connected with the Mumbai bombings and the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. ( Just not feeling the love here. ) Musharraf is a military strong man, a dictator who seized power, propped up by Bush, who has just been able to profit from the very public murder of his prime political opponent.
How especially convenient for him.
Pakistan, not Iran, is the most dangerous country on the planet right now. The killing of Bhutto has made a bad situation even worse. Musharraf, the strong man, has no intention of leaving power. Pakistan has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The nuclear facilities at Khushab are not subject to safeguard inspections by the IAEA. On the issue of weapons of mass destruction, Pakistan is just plain thumbing its nose at the world, and as the ABC story by Elizabeth Sprague, June 21 2007, points out, is expanding an already uninspected program :
... " With large stocks of plutonium, Pakistan can build a new generation of lighter, more powerful weapons that can more easily be launched via missiles and can cause far more damage, " said David Albright, president of the Institute for Science and International Security ( ISIS ). "
Pakistan is one of only three nations in the world to opt-out of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, designed to promote cooperation in adhering to to nuclear disarmament and peaceful uses of nuclear energy. The two other rogue nations are India, Pakistan's potential nuclear opponent , and Israel. A collapse of the India Pakistan peace process could lead to a break-out of war between two nuclear armed neighbors.
A serious breakdown in Central Asia might well serve United States energy interests, by providing a pretext for more military interventions. With the neo-con jackals, pretext is always first and foremost in the mind. Military interventions would not only secure and protect " American interests " ( energy corporations ), but would also serve to ward off potential energy rivals, in the very real, Super Power Chess Board Game with Russia and China.
Michael Ruppert, in his book " Crossing the Rubicon ", provides some analysis of this black, oily abyss of danger :
... " If energy demand in China, India and Indonesia is allowed to grow as much as analysts say it will, then these three countries may well crowd out the rest of the world in the energy market... It is plain that growing energy demands will bring India, Indonesia and China into conflict with the developed world. The United States in particular, as the world's top consumer of oil, will likely either have to curb consumption to make room for other countries, or will have to find some way to curb demands of the emerging energy consumers. Moreover, competition for diminishing oil resources could threaten U.S. dollar hegemony over world oil transactions ".
So who killed Osama bin Laden ? Some time after the first assassination attempt on Benezir Bhutto's life, when she returned to Pakistan after 8 years of self -exile, she gave an interview to David Frost. Six minutes and ten seconds into the interview, Ms. Bhutto states that Osama bin Laden is dead, and has been dead for several years. She names Omar Saeed Shiekh as the killer of Osama bin Laden.
Again we turn to Michael Ruppert for some insight :
" He is variously known also by the names Ahmad Umar Shiek, Ahmad Omar Saeed Shiekh, and Umar Shiekh. He was raised and educated in London, and by whatever name he is known, it has been acknowledged that he was an ISI agent. When the Times of India revealed that by examining his cell phone records ( obtained through Indian intelligence agencies ) they could prove that he was the leg man who had wired $100,000 to Mohammed Atta in Florida just days before the 911 attacks, they did not know that he was going to be arrested and convicted for the murder of Daniel Pearl. It was the cell phone records, among other things, that tied Shiekh directly to the ISI. "
This swirling fun house of mirrors just keeps spinning, and all the world's eyes are on Pakistan to see what happens next. The involvement of the Pakistan's ISI in the attack on 9/11 should be ringing alarm bells in the U.S., now that Bhutto has been murdered with the collusion of Musharraf. Pakistan is the place where 911 was created in the first place, in the religious schools, funded by our other "good friends ", the House of Saud.
( Duplicitous bastards )
One thing seems clear. In the eyes of much of the rest of the world, Bhutto spoke the truth when she described the murder of " America's most precious asset ". When will American politicians get brave enough to actually start questioning the whole Osama bin Laden myth and the ever increasing drift toward an American Fascist State ?
While I do not agree with a lot of what Ron Paul says, at least he had the balls to attach the Fascist bell to the Bush Regime, where it has belonged since they seized power in 2000.
Fabulous!!!
Fashionable, friendly fascism, endless war, with a flag and a gleaming gold Christian cross.
